One of the biggest trends we are
seeing with weddings are smaller intimate weddings. Whether it’s due to having an intimate budget
or the shifting of the focus of your day…more and more couples are hosting
weddings with 50 or less guests. The
best part of having less guests is the unique venue spaces that come
available.
What is your focus of your
wedding? Some want incredible memories
to walk away with but due to a limited budget that doesn’t allow you to add all
the bells and whistles on a prime Fall Saturday at 5:00pm so you might have to
shift things to a brunch time or even a weekday wedding to save money. Some couples want a five-course meal
surrounded by their loved ones but that can add up quickly when inviting 200 of
your closest family and friends. Others
want to best of the best of everything…and who can’t say you can’t have
that? It just means you must be
creative.
Have you ever thought of hosting
your wedding at a Bed & Breakfast?
Using a B&B means you can create a weekend getaway because some of
your guests can stay onsite throughout the event. Some of the venues we’ve recently toured and
others we have coordinated events offer some amazing spaces.
There’s a B&B to host
weddings located right around from our office and it already has a tent onsite,
a small garden and a small dining room in the main house. The Burke Manor Inn & Pavilion is located
in Gibsonville. They have multi rooms to
offer out of town guests or even if you want to stay onsite while getting
ready. They have a cute cabin for the whole wedding party to get ready the day
of the wedding. They also offer amazing
onsite catering and bar services.
Very few know about Baynes Family
Farm. I know that sounds like a barn
style wedding venue but there isn’t a barn onsite. Instead it’s a cabin that sleeps between
14-16 people. This venue is located in
Alamance County. This venue is great if
you are wanting a tented event but don’t have a backyard to put one up, or you
don’t really want 150 family members and friends in your house. They have a beautiful field to host a
ceremony and a flat area for tent to be set up.
There is a pond on the property if you are looking for a water feature
for photos.
We had the honor of meeting the entire family during our tour and they are
some of the most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered. They truly make their home feel like you’re a
part of the family. See the Baynes’
family farm have been in the family for a few generations and now they only use
it to host family for family gatherings and treat it as a an air B&B the
other times. I definitely found a few
rooms I could call home for the weekend.
We can’t wait to host our first wedding here.
A few weeks ago we were invited to
tour Pandora’s Manor Bed & Breakfast downtown High Point. We never knew this beautiful hidden gem
existed. Each room was designed by a
different professional designer…not sure which room I fell in love with more
but the custom doors with leather might have caught my eye. There is not a bad place to take a photo in
this house. I can see some incredible
bridal portraits being made here.
The front lawn is a great place
for a small intimate wedding and cocktail party. They currently have plans to build
a pavilion in the back area over the next two years until then they will allow
you to rent the property for the weekend and pop up a tent. They have hosted several rehearsal dinners,
bridal showers and brunches throughout the house already and can’t wait to see
what the upcoming year has to offer.
Even if you already have your venue selected in High Point this would
make a great option for your honeymoon plans or weekend getaway.
We couldn’t leave out Double Oaks B&B downtown Greensboro. James invited us to come and tour and WOW is
all I can say. The moment I pulled up
out front I could see a beautiful wedding on their front steps. The front porch could offer a great spot for
cocktails.
Inside the house currently has 5
rooms but they are building a third floor that will host two more amazing
suites. There are a few cute rooms right
off of the foyer to use as holding places for family prior to a wedding
starting or would make great spaces for a brunch, shower or networking event
(like we are hosting soon).
The backyard is its second best
feature next to that front porch. There
is a back deck to host a lounge area with a stage in the far corner for live
musicians or a dj. The driveway offers a
flat space perfect for a dinner area and even enough space to pop up a tent in
the case of liquid sunshine. The cool
part of this venue is its onsite bar. So
many great beverage options to offer your guests even after the party
ends. This venue offers so many unique
experiences.
