Tarheel fans to
the core, Mathew and Callie took their passion to the next level by incorporating
their favorite team into every aspect of their special day. From the blue ties
the gentlemen wore, to the linens, and a surprise for the whole crowd later.
The evening began
with lots of water for guests by the ceremony area, under large umbrellas to
keep cool. After a picturesque ceremony with nature as a back drop, the couple
sent their guests up to the house to have cocktails and appetizers in the cool
air until the newlyweds were introduced. When Callie, Mathew, and their wedding
party came in they danced and hooted
and hollered, then had their seats for Grace, and welcoming of the
guests. As tables were released to the buffet guests were asked to sign a
baseball jersey- a Tarheel one of course. Then guests made their way through
the line and took their seats and enjoyed a BBQ dinner, and macaroni and cheese
bar. Throughout the night we encouraged guests to go into the lobby to sign
their “guest book” a large poster with the Chapel Hill campus on it.
As the night went
on, and the party really got started the couple danced with their friends and
family. The couple had their first dances then cut their cake, we passed out
large glow sticks for guests to dance around with and then the big surprise:
Ramsey Jr. As he snuck in the room went quiet and then it exploded with
excitement. They danced and took pictures and when it was time for Ramsey to
leave, the party kept going, the guests kept dancing, and it was time to send
guests out to line up and
chauffeur the newlyweds to their getaway car. They had a beautiful
sparkler exit with a kiss to end the night.*written by one of our summer interns
